Un voyage passionnant dans l’histoire des tauromachies
méditerranéennes, de la Préhistoire jusqu’à nos jours.
Le Musée Itinérant des Tauromachies Universelles a été conçu par l’Union des Villes Taurines Françaises (UVTF) et l’Observatoire National des Cultures Taurines (ONCT) dans le cadre de leur plan de transmission, promotion et conservation de la culture taurine.
Il se compose de deux outils pédagogiques - une exposition itinérante et un documentaire de 66 minutes - qui mettent en lumière la relation entre l’homme et le taureau sur tout le pourtour méditerranéen, depuis le premier témoignage pictural inventorié, (Villars, - 23.000 ans), jusqu’à l’époque contemporaine.
Ce récit montre que la culture taurine est la culture pérenne la plus ancienne de toutes celles qui existent sur la planète.
Ce projet a pour objectif de divulguer l’histoire mal connue des tauromachies méditerranéennes : au fil des millénaires, la chasse du taureau a donné lieu à des rites puis à des jeux, dont la puissance symbolique explique la ferveur populaire qui accompagne les tauromachies modernes.
Le Musée propose, en outre, une interprétation du lien immémorial qui unit l’Homme au Taureau, dont la pertinence et la rigueur ont été saluées par l’Institut d’Antropologie Humaine. Un lien sacré dès son origine, ce qui explique en partie la dimension culturelle universelle de la Tauromachie.
Tauromaquias Universales es un proyecto impulsado en Francia por la Union des Villes Taurines (UVTF) y el Observatoire National des Cultures Taurines (ONCT) dentro de su programa de transmisión, promoción y defensa de la Fiesta.
El plan consta de dos herramientas pedagógicas - una exposición itinerante y un documental de 66 minutos de duración - con un mismo argumento: la relación entre el hombre y el toro en todo el entorno mediterráneo, desde el primer testimonio pictórico que tenemos (Villars, - 23.000 años) hasta la actualidad.
Dicha narración demuestra que la cultura taurina es la más antigua y perdurable de cuantas existen en el planeta.
El proyecto Tauromaquias Universales tiene por objetivo difundir la historia de las tauromaquias mediterráneas, enseñando su pasado hasta desembocar en la Fiesta actual, con el fin de mejorar su imagen y aportar una perspectiva más culta, devolviendo al torero su estatus de héroe mitológico y al toro, el de animal sagrado.
En todos los puntos de Francia y España donde se instale el Museo Itinerante de las Tauromaquias Universales, se organizará la siguiente operación cultural:
- Montaje de la exposición en un lugar simbólico de la ciudad relacionado con su historia (un museo, un ayuntamiento, una capilla, una universidad, etc.), impulsando un acto social alrededor de la cultura taurina con el propósito que el público no aficionado conozca los valores de la Fiesta.
- Difusión del documental, proyectado en una gran sala en diversos pases.
- Talleres culturales y charlas con el sector cultural, escolar y universitario. Captación de jóvenes.
- Visitas guiadas a la prensa en torno a la exposición, entrega del documental a los medios y sensibilización sobre la dimensión cultural y universal de la Tauromaquia.
Universal Bullfighting is a project launched in France by the Union des Villes Taurines (UVTF) and the Observatoire National des Cultures Taurines (ONCT) as part of its program to transmit, promote and defend the Fiesta –the Bullfight-.
The Plan consists of two pedagogical tools - an itinerant exhibition and a 66 minutes documentary -, which share a single theme: the relationship between the Man and the Bull in the Mediterranean region, from the very first pictorial testimony found (Villars, 23,000 B.C.) up until to the present day. This account will prove that Bullfighting is the oldest and most enduring culture of those existing on the planet.
The Universal Bullfighting project has established the main goals to convey the history of Mediterranean Bullfighting in all of its diversity by reviewing its Past in order to arrive at and understand the modern day bullfight. The idea is to improve its image and furnish a more cultured and educated perspective, and return the bullfighter to his original status as a mythological hero and the bull to that of a sacred animal.
Wherever the Itinerant Universal Bullfighting Museum is set up, the following cultural activities will be organised:
Assembly of the Exhibition in a venue of the city symbolically associated with its history (museum, town hall, chapel, university, etc.) and its promotion via an important social event linked to the taurine culture so that the non- aficionado public is able to discover the true values of the Bullfight.
-Presentation of the documentary in a large auditorium in multiple sessions.
-Culture-oriented workshops and discussions with the local cultural, scholastic and university sectors, with special attention focussed on young people.
-Special guided tours of the Exhibition for the press, furnishing of a copy of the documentary to the media and the undertaking of a sensitivity awareness campaign about Bullfighting’s cultural and universal dimensions.
